Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Broad Creek Christian Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical doctrines.
God
God created everything and also keeps everything (heaven and earth) in balance. He is eternal, which means He has no beginning or end. In the Bible He is known as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1, Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:1-2, Acts 2:32-33
Genesis 1:1, Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:1-2, Acts 2:32-33
Jesus
Jesus lives in eternity in relationship with God as the Son. We believe that Jesus came to earth through God's servant, Mary, who was a virgin. The reason He came to earth was to live a sinless life which allowed Him to make the ultimate sacrifice for sin on the cross. After three days in the tomb, He rose and is alive today at the right hand of God the Father. Colossians 2:9, Luke 1:30-35, I Corinthians 15:3-8, 2 Corinthians 5:21
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is all over the Bible, but in the New Testament He is known as a Comforter, a Helper and He is the agent through which people are convicted of sin and righteous living. He is given to each Christian and also helps each believer use whatever gifts He has given.

People
The dirty truth is we sin...all of us sin. Because we are sinners we need help from heaven. Help came from God the Son, Jesus Christ, when He took our penalty for sin (death) by dying for us on the cross. We now get to live with each other in God's perfect plan, the Church.
Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, 6:23, Acts 4:12,Ephesians 1
God has gone to such great lengths to save us. We should respond to that in the same way. This is what the Bible calls repenting (changing my mind about who controls my decisions), confessing Jesus as Lord and being baptized (submerged) in water and rising to your new life in Christ.
We also remember Him when the Church gathers at communion. Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Acts 8:36-38,
I Corinthians 11, Galatians 3:26-27

Faith
The Bible is actually made up of 66 different books written by various authors over a vast time period. In spite of all of this, it is extremely accurate and consistent in its message. We believe that although it was written by men, it is the inspired word of God the Spirit and as such it is true and accurate in its writing and transmission through the ages.
The Bible is meant to be read so that it can transform your life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
Heaven and hell are real and we realize that there are many different ideas about both. Heaven was created for your eternity while hell was created for Satan and those fallen angels that followed him. God wants you to choose Him and in doing so, rewards us with life eternal in Heaven. We want to go there and we want you to come with us!
Acts 1:10-11, John 5:28-29, Daniel 12:2,
2 Corinthians 4:14
