Leadership

Scott Askew was born and raised in Beaufort County and has lived there most of his life. He graduated from Roanoke Bible College (now MACU) and has been in ministry since 1997. Scott is married to Stephanie, and they have two children, Libby and Aaron. Scott loves Duke Basketball and Cardinals Baseball. He also enjoys fishing and bird watching. Scott’s true desire is to see people come to Christ and become His disciples.

Dan is married to Nina and has two adult children, Micah and Naomi. He has been in ministry for more than 20 years and is a graduate of Nebraska Christian College (BA) and Liberty University School of Divinity (MA and a PhD in progress). He is passionate about Biblical discipleship and Christian education. He enjoys music and the outdoors (hunting, fishing, hiking, etc.) and is an enthusiastic connoisseur of great coffee. 

Taryn does a wonderful job taking care of our kids.  She and her husband, Beau have two grown sons and one daughter; Hunter and Christian and Aralynn.

Kevin has lived in the area and served at Broad Creek since 2008.  He is married to Sherry and they have 2 daughters; Morgan & Lacey and 1 grandson, Bryson.  Kevin has been working with the youth as a sponsor for several years.  He recently retired from Duke Energy and agreed to come on as our full time Youth Minister.  Kevin also leads our Impact and Special Needs Ministries..  

Adele (pronounced Add-de-L, or also known as Addy) has spent most of her adult life in the midwest.  She has four grown children and several grandkids.  She has had a lifelong career in caring for others and serving Churches in various ministries wherever she has lived.
